Still bummed that Deliveries got discontinued. The FedEx app is truly awful. UPS is less worse but still pretty janky.
I do know there are alternatives (like https://parcelapp.net) and to be honest I haven't looked at any of them. I'm sure some are OK/usable, I'm just bummed because I hate change.
Parcel - Delivery Tracking for iPhone, iPad and Mac

The best delivery tracking app available for iOS and macOS.

@paul I still miss Deliveries, as well. Parcel's definitely the best alternative I've tried.
@paul I guess I just assumed these alternatives would be broken too, otherwise @robotspacer would fix things up in Deliveries.
@markdorison @paul @robotspacer I’ve been sad about Deliveries too. I still use it but will eventually have to move on. ☹️
@markdorison @paul Many of the alternatives are from companies that are generating shipping labels, like Shopify’s Shop app—that makes it much easier to work with the bigger shipping companies. I don’t know what other apps are doing, but I have been and will continue to look into all reasonable options available to us.
@robotspacer We appreciate you and Deliveries! ❤️❤️
@paul been using Deliveries since OS X dashboard widgets. My lizard brain doesn’t understand anything else
@paul I was a Deliveries fan as well, ended up switching to Parcel and it has been a reliable replacement. Painless switch but I totally get it.
@o22ie does Parcel actually update fedex items?
@galonsky Sure does. Has a nice little auto populate integration with Amazon orders as well.
@paul alright there Archie.
@paul I just downloaded Parcel based on this conversation and it’s pretty good. The Amazon integration will be handy (I don’t know if Deliveries had this and I never noticed it).
@paul parcel is good! I always recommend people parcel. Just like I only recommend one app for toots. 😉
@paul parcellapp.net is way better than deliveries. I’ve been very happy with them.
@paul I’m reluctant to give up my semi-functional Deliveries just because I assume FedEx will at best whack-a-mole the next client, or worst [insert inevitable fate of 3P APIs in 202x]
@paul (FWIW, I was a big Deliveries fan for a while, but I've loved parcelapp.net for a few years now!)
@paul like many others have said: parcel is great
@paul I have been using @parcel for about a week now and I love it.
@paul welp should have kept reading 🤦🏻‍♂️
@caseyliss @paul Thanks for this conversation. I otherwise would not have known that I have an active subscription to an app that’s abandonware. I have switched to Parcel! 👍
@caseyliss @paul I had to switch over to Parcel recently. I still prefer the deliveries UI but it completely stopped working for me. FedEx had been broken for a while, now even UPS wasn’t working for me. I had to accept that it no longer works for my needs. Parcel is technically better (especially because it still works), but not as pretty IMO.

@paul You hate change, but you seem to buy new hardware very regularly? 😉

(On-topic: for me the switch from Deliveries to Parcel has been rather smooth; quite some time ago)

@paul I used both for a while. Parcel wasn't as great UX wise, but it works wayyyy better. Deliveries has been flakey for a few years at best.

@paul call me bias, but Shop apps killer feature is package tracking.

Though I admit that if you have two folks getting USPS packages regularly it has a tough time differentiating.

@paul Hey Paul, change sucks, I totally feel you. I am the guy behind Parcel, should you decide to have a look at it and need any assistance - feel free to ping me.
@paul I use an app called SHOP and it actually works quite well. Especially for USPS and UPS.

@paul I mostly order Amazon and still use deliveries… and Get off my lawn 🤣🤣🤣
@paul I too miss deliveries but I gotta say, Parcels is a pretty great replacement
@paul parcel is really good and I miss deliveries but it’s not bad at all
