@nuz

Gruyère is the only correct answer

@IzabelaKaramia @nuz It's irreplaceable in a recipe.

@nuz

Very disappointed in a world where only 26% voted for Gruyère. Now my villain arc begins and havoc shall be wreaked.

@nuz I chose other. Violife soft cheese spread.
@PapaBear so valid 💚  i've been meaning to try violife, their stuff looks so good!!
@nuz Do not go for the “cheddar flavour” one. It tastes like feet.

@PapaBear omg  thanks for the warning!! i don't particularly like cheddar so i prob wouldn't have gone for that one, but feet taste even worse!!

(but some people are into that and that's okay!!  )

@nuz @PapaBear Violife Feta is even better than Greek Feta.
@nuz You’re missing blue cheese 😭
@smoldragon i think there are a few blue cheeses on there, just listed under their more specific names! or at least, the link has some pictures of cheese that look like blue cheese to me  (but i'm *far* from an expert because blue cheese is one of my least favorites!! )
@nuz I’ll be honest- I’ll purchase anything labeled as a “blue cheese” without even finishing reading the label. I didn’t even know there were more specific names until today.

@nuz I am very sorry, but I voted for all. I have not encountered a cheese I do not like.

GIVE ME ALL THE CHEEEESE

@nuz
I'll eat any of them if they're a decent vegan version of it

@nuz it was hard to limit it to just 7 of them, but I tried to go with favorites.

Mind you, it matters more who the cheese maker was than the type.

@nuz @danny I will not rest until I have tasted ALL THESE CHEESES
@nuz fetaverse :^) noticing that my cheese taste is pretty boring though, well
@nuz For other, Swiss and American (yes I know it's techincally "processed cheese product" but it's still cheese to me)
@nuz I picked several but the real answer is, "Yes please." 😆
@nuz all 🧀

@nuz More that weren't included:

Ossau-Iraty
Cotija
Queso Fresco (Mexico)

@kevin cotija and queso fresco are two of my absolute faves!! kinda surprised they weren't on the list i linked, tbh - i thought they were pretty popular!
@nuz Pont-l'Évêque, livarot, Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine, cabécou

@nuz a generic cheddar is ok but I wouldn't ever call it a favourite

Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar on the other hand is a heavenly creation we mere mortals do not fully deserve

@nuz
Cream cheese!
Swiss cheese! (I didn't miss it, or am not having a brain fart?)
Muenster cheese!
Cheese Whiz™! 😜
Cheetos! 🤣

@nuz
What! No Venezuelan Beaver cheese?

(Gruyere or Emmentaler remain my go-tos for a ham and swiss.)

@nuz i don't like cheese except for mozzarella on pizza but more importantly whatever cheese they put in Brazilian pão de queijo.

@nuz

missing - Swiss and Port Wine (which purists claim is not a cheese).

@nuz @bminish Wensleydale, Grommit! Also Brillat Savarin and Bünder Bergkäse.
@nuz
Damn, said brie, later spotted gorgansola.
@nuz mimolette. It was made illegal in the US in 2013, but now you can get it again... though it is pretty difficult to find. Even the bourgie cheese shops in this bourgie city I live in rarely have it.
@nuz im secretly hoping for a #potatoPoll about potatoes
@bella omg i'm such a potato that this idea didn't even occur to me! /gen
@nuz rougette, Chimay (all 3), epoisses, Comte, livarot morbier.
@nuz I'm allergic to cheese, so I appreciate the last option 😅
@nuz Cotswold and Double Gloucester.
@nuz brillat savarin & delice de Bourgogne 😋🤤
@nuz lots of Welsh cheeses - Perl Las, Perl Wen, Teifi, Hafod, Caerffili and so on 😋
@nuz I love Jarlsberg and port wine too 😋
@nuz
I don't see Velveeta on your list.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raclette

It just doesn't get any better for melting and eating with potatoes or bread, all you need and some wine if you partake.

Raclette - Wikipedia

@nuz Drunken Goat is nice, as well as Espresso Bellavitano. Grass-fed Farmer or Havarti are dreamy.
@nuz Shut that bloody bouzouki off!
@nuz Number One: Wisconsin Cheese Curds! 🧀🧀🧀🧀 Others: chevre, havarti, appenzeller, ski queen, humboldt fog, so many more...
