Look who was waiting.
On one hand, I kind of hate the phrase "late-stage capitalism" because it implies that this is not always what capitalists seek to do, and that we've never been in a situation where they've captured the state/states to create hell on earth for profit - and man, history does not agree with that position.
Otoh, we're running out of planet and either capitalism goes or literally billions of people are gonna die and right soon. It's late-stage SOMETHING.
