It's hearing profs like these (& my #UAlberta peers) talk about the #research questions they ask, the solutions their research provide, & impacts of their research on the 'real world' that keeps me inspired, committed to the academic endeavour & research-intensive university.
I know my uni colleagues will enjoy this episode. But I wish my non-university friends would also listen, to hear what their (& their parents' & grandparents') past tax-dollars & political choices have enabled. /7 #CBC
