I find this weirdly fascinating. Some #ants and some #termites have created a demilitarised zone of sorts.

Workers are moving down lines and guards from each group are standing face to face.

@saluki wow! I could watch this all day. Fascinating!

@saluki it would be nice if you can mark the video as sensitive (no need to CW the entire post), sometimes imagery or videos of insects trigger a skin crawl reaction for me that can last for a while (after I scroll past the image/video). Thankfully this didn't happen to me this time (I don't want you to feel bad).

That aside, this really is fascinating. I'd recommend Kurzgesagt's video series on ants if that topic of ant colonies interests you.

@saluki Wow. Coexistence. Why can't we do that?
@saluki I cannot look away, that is very fascinating indeed.
@saluki This planet is completely awesome (except for the humans, obviously). Thank you for sharing this truly excellent view of it.
@saluki it really is fascinating ๐Ÿ˜‡
@saluki Who is north Corean and who is south Corean ?
@saluki @marcas that's just flat out politics. from adjoining colony lifeforms. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
@saluki Ants have the foot soldiers, but the termites have the tanks
@saluki ants are the most fascinating creature in my opinion! I've read hours of stuff about them and still find out new things all the time
@saluki
Crazy Nature! Now they're copying Mankind?

@saluki

Yet many people think only humans are conscious and intelligent. This is sophisticated behaviour.

@saluki Looks like they could help us out with a few problems
@saluki so cool and yet damn... ๐Ÿ‘€
@saluki they are so amazing โค๏ธ

@saluki

That is how military deterrence worksโ€ฆ

@saluki Wow, that is fascinating.
@saluki That's impressive. I had no idea this was possible.
