Lawyers tried to use the #IndependentStateLegislature theory to sway the outcomes of the 2000 and 2020 elections. What if it were to become the law of the land?

The #SupremeCourt is set to rule any day on whether state legislatures have untouchable authority when it comes to elections, shutting out state courts on issues of #Gerrymandering, #VoterSuppression, and basically everything election related. It'd be the new, new #JimCrow if the justices sign off.

The case before the Supreme Court is Moore v. Harper. Not holding my breath when three of the current 9 were involved with Bush v Gore shenanigans: #JohnRoberts, #BrettKavanaugh, and #AmyConeyBarrett. And that's not counting #ClarenceThomas, who voted to appoint #GeorgeWBush in 2000.
