I used the Vision Pro. Any questions?

@asymco about business/strategy.

I have been listening Asymetric where you talked about headgear for months. You predicted pretty well what v1 is - basically expensive ugly developer preview but with full software stack.

Now that you actually saw the unit and presentations, did it change how you would describe Apple’s headgear strategy? What’s the biggest change to how you think about headgear in past few days?

I’m inclined to say “no change”? You predicted it well.

@jaanus no change except an interesting question arises with the possibility of spatial media. Consumer 3D photos and videos will be a phenomenon but how will they be adopted? The device will be supply constrained for at least a year.

@asymco not sure how many people will make 3d photos of their kids and such. I think there’s more opportunity for content providers (Disney, games) and apps.

We have entered a multi-year distribution rollout. It will be both supply- and price-constrained. Apple is playing the long game.

@asymco @jaanus I am wondering if Apple will make 3D content somewhat accessible/viewable on 2D devices through parallax tricks. I.e. you get the 3D feeling when you move your iPhone while looking at a 3D picture.
Also, Apple could add a second camera on iPhones to make them 3D cams. The distance only has to be like 6cm.
@hhf @asymco @jaanus As with the iPhone, I expect Vision Pro to be used in ways that Apple never imagined.
@fluids_guru @asymco @jaanus probably even Apple is expecting that :- )
@fluids_guru @hhf @asymco @jaanus My indispensable use case (of many uses) for my Apple Watch is as a kitchen timer! This is not what I expected when I preordered my V1.0
