This is correct in the limited part of the story it tells, but it’s misleading in that it compares apples to oranges, i.e. it compares virtual products in the digital world to tangible products in the physical world. In terms of basic human needs (food, shelter and clothing) the left column represents nothing whereas the right two columns represents all human needs currently being met.

I have been listening Asymetric where you talked about headgear for months. You predicted pretty well what v1 is - basically expensive ugly developer preview but with full software stack.
Now that you actually saw the unit and presentations, did it change how you would describe Apple’s headgear strategy? What’s the biggest change to how you think about headgear in past few days?
I’m inclined to say “no change”? You predicted it well.
