i just spent like 10 minutes why this one seller scaled some minis differently before realizing the hqs were bigger

derp. of course

this is useful

mmmm sad

apparently going forward not (all) the fallout warfare minis will come with cool greebly bases

plain bases, noooooo. need to get glue and fake grass and sand xD

stores having clearance sales on digital downloads

wait. this is games workshop made to order minis and... i am 100% this is the really old shit?

did they literally just shuffle out decades old minis for this?

recognizing things is a benefit of getting into a new thing
it is definitely cool they are servicing all the nostalgia
this dude is supposed to be a big deal right
i didn't see any old dwarves in quilt armor tho lololol

i might have been wrong about that jungle fighter being made to order

games workshop's website and community page is extraordinarily newbie hostile

if you literally search "made to order" on the warhammer community site you get three relatively recent posts, none of which contain that phrase

there was a community post about made to order post like 3 weeks ago, but google doesn't find it either

i literally went to the subreddit and searched there

is there a category on the games workshop site? no

is there a filter? no

do they explain ANY of this information to you? no

the best part is whenever people ask questions about this on the sub (you know, because no one fucking tells them), they usually get downvoted, and no one tells them anything

amazing system

my minis are in seattle

not sure if they'll make it to me today. possibly monday

it's weak that the rainbow warriors only have a thin rainbow down their helmets
every time someone says that's not consistent with <entire generic spanning stereotype lore> i just remember iom has whole planets as rounding errors

i think i talked myself down from the vault modular pieces for now

still reallllly want them

but i should focus on minis and paint to get better

they'd be real good if i actually play tho

but also they come pre-painted! so +value. but also -value because i don't need to paint them lol

there is also a red rocket terrain piece officially by modiphius which is cheaper and includes a 3'x3' terrain play mat which is probably maximizing play value

also unlike non-official/licensed stuff it actually gets to have a sign that says "red rocket" lololol

NEED THAT OFFICIAL DOGMEAT WANG JOKE

i just think the discussion on nudity and gore on minis is hilarious given *waves at 40k universe*
✅ genocide
❌ a tiddy
the real decay of the iom started with a power armor malfunction
this is kinda cool, a little diorama
lol you have to subscribe to warhammer+ for it
someone on itch sells a buncha high resolution maps for fallout 2d20

yeah i don't think i'm getting my minis today, and usps doesn't deliver sundays

monday it is

i can do it. i can not buy anything till then xD

the op calls it a wrecked vehicle, but i really feel like it's some (maybe abandoned?) desert facility with a research lab, hydroponics, living quarters, etc

looks super cool

i like the idea of making a modular diorama type level, where there are maybe 2-3 stages you progress in one direction and there's some giant boss model at the end

very mobile video game but it works if YOUR APARTMENT IS TINY LOL

My players are going to freak out....

if minis were smaller you could use actual bottlecaps as mini bases tho 🤔

a 24 sub channel making a fallout 4 inspired diner

no talking, good music, just sped up showing you how she built it

i do not think i'd have the patience to glue tiles individually lol

i wonder if a metal mini makes sense as a practice mini

paint it, strip the paint, experiment some more, etc

50 metal minis later: "i liked all of them tho"
current status: watching people argue warp casuality

both my paints and minis got delayed to monday

if i worked mon-fri this might annoy me xD

(twist: i actually work mon-fri but also i can do what i want)
i regret tossing so much cardboard a few months ago now lol
i could make a real good city outta my old medicine bottles if fallout had cylindrical buildings
Varnishing

did two coats of slightly thicker varnish (same vallejo ultra matt)

unfortunately one of the last minis i finished painting the other day... was not totally dry lol

sort of smeared some of the paint on the base rim

WHOOPS

there is no amount of money i could earn/have to make me buy this (for myself)
i could literally be a billionaire and someone might be like "i want this mars pattern whatever the fuck" and i'd just blink and be like "i will pay your rent for a decade instead this is not a negotiation"
there is no way that sparks $1800 worth of joy in anyone except forgeworld
you could either have that, or like 365 space marines

the only way this could be worth it is if some useless rich fuck bought it, broke it, and ebayed it for cheap

so you buy it for $200 and fix it with $20 worth of super glue and $200 worth of your own time

i am literally trying to think of what/how much fallout merch it would take to make me drop $1800
we're talking like fully operational pip-pad or something

but like, i am 100000% sure i could custom build a pip-pad for less than that

just buy a fucking rpi and screen and get someone with a 3d printer to help me build a shell

and then spend 300 hours programming the ui for it lololol
i bet i could build in a fold out solar panel in that thing and still be under $1800

lmaooooooooooo

(apparently he bought it for $800 and was trying to repair it)

also when it fell it sounded super fucking heavy

super thicc

it's resin right. how much does that monstrosity fucking weigh, collapsing under its own weight lololol

i still don't like 40k lore much, but ngl it's refreshing to read from some fandom where one faction doesn't constantly scream that it's better than like, 30k lore or something
i'm on greenstuffworld and this is very dangerous lol
