Ran into a bit of "what is PbtA really" conversation elsewhere, probably kicked off by current Critical Role-related events? Anyhow here's a picture.

You may recognize it from a nearly identical picture in my PbtA series Q&A:

I hasten to add:

My point isn't to subtoot. I actually ran into three of these conversations this morning.

If indeed they were kicked off by something Critical Role-related, they're going to start popping up again everywhere!

@lumpley
I’m out of the loop and apparently my google fu is weak, what did CR do now?
@Alien_Sunset Nothing much really! They played a Legend of Zelda one-shot that was PbtA.

@lumpley
Ahh!
I saw something about zelda but didn’t realise the link (pun intended)

It’s nice that they play other games besides the “big” names

@lumpley Reminds me of a video by a classical composer (forgot who, alas) about "what is classical music anyway?" It ran through a bunch of ever-expanding definitions, countering each of them with works and artists that didn't quite fit but were considered classical anyway, like John Cage's 4'33 or Steve Reich's Pendulum Music. He ended up with the circular "Classical music is music made in the tradition of classical music", which is probably the best you can do in the end.
@lumpley I really enjoy your patrons supported posts on the PbtA Framework and using it.
I helps me no-end when trying to explain the differnces between Framework and Systems
@welshtroll Fantastic! That's great to hear.
