Don't you have a pointless meeting to schedule?

@nixCraft

project managers are useless.

@newsorpigal @nixCraft yeah...not to be confrontational, not looking for an argument, but more about letting you know to slow your roll in judging project managers...there would be certain stakeholders that project managers had to build slack time around and they'd still be late on projects and complain that deadlines were too tight. Especially when it came to artists and creatives.

Pro tip, I learned this skill being a mom to toddlers who would demand more time and energy getting anything completed throughout the day.

There's expected due dates and then there's realistic due dates because we all knew the realities of what it takes to complete projects.

I'm sure that wasn't you, though.

@newsorpigal @nixCraft I'm also not saying there weren't bad project managers. I replaced a bad one who missed important details and cost our company thousands of dollars. His projects were always late because he was bad at managing stakeholders.
@nixCraft if you start the meeting by blasting all the useless people with a phaser at max output then the meeting will end up with everybody in agreement and it will be pretty productive.

@nixCraft
Had I decided to be a manager I probably would have a pointless meeting to schedule.

Fortunately, having developed a disdain for pointless meetings, I chose a different career path.

@nixCraft I have never seen so great combo (animation and description) showing arrogance today's 'senior devs'. This poor helpless dude is doing useless job, and the project manager is trying to organize meeting to making him stop doing stupid/pointless things. But 'senior dev''s emotional intelligence is on the level of hammer + nail, so he can't listen to anyone and is just hitting the rock. That's awesomely funny, but if I would be 'senior dev' I would feel offended by this picture lol
@nixCraft Giving me flashback to the start of the year when multiple persons from management were micro managing in opposing directions...
@nixCraft that's a humphead parrotfish!
@nixCraft that was one thing that I hated when I was working for General Electric. Meetings were held so often that it was a wonder that I got any work done at all.
