I'm working on the countertop in my DIY motorhome. This is the working countertop hence the industrial look. Those ribs are separators. There will be more separators but making the small separators is proving challenging right now. I'll conquer them though.

The reason for the separators - this countertop is dedicated to making electronics and programming microcontrollers. Thus one side (not shown) will hold trays of electronics. This side has a steel top - for soldering on and separators for tools etc.

I'm in the midst of building a microcontroller lab. It's fun but time consuming. Right now I'm working on a workbench. This will have open compartments on the top and a steel area for soldering - so that a hot soldering iron won't set anything ablaze if it's dropped.

I seem to be fighting a losing battle, supporting the right to free speech.

Free speech just means nobody gets gagged or silenced. It does not mean they don't get mocked, jeered, argued against or ignored.

If free speech is restricted then for a short while things appear more pleasant until speech you didn't want restricted begins to be blocked.

Censorship starts out with good intentions and always ends up with an unmitigated disaster.

Welcome to 1984 where people view censorship as normal.

Welcome to the Christmas lights display I had on one of the work vehicles the other day. In't it festive?

Whackos exist on Mastodon as well as Twitter...

I just got called a Nazi, for Heaven's sake!

Not a single strawberry went anywhere near this chemical brew. It's aimed at young girls!

I saw this on the shelf in the local supermarket. The bottle is the most interesting thing. The poison inside is definitely not for human consumption.

Look at the list of chemicals. Why would anybody want to feed this to defenseless young girls?

Doggy update. A week after his stroke...

His bark is back.
I took him for a short walk today and he only fell over half a dozen times.
He is now able to walk but is still prone to falling over.
His vision is still negligible. He can see changes in light but not things.
He can't stand up to pee most of the time. He manages to stand to poo though.

It's a constant case of looking after him as though he's a toddler.

It is very encouraging that there are such definite signs of recovery.

I can only hope his recovery continues. I want to be able to take him for his usual walk again.

Has anybody used #meshtastic? I was just reading about it and wondering if it could be accessed using an ESP32 with Python code and a LoRa adapter?

Caring for a dog that is now special needs is challenging. The home has to be toddler-proofed.

The poor dog had a stroke on Friday and though he has made massive progress, still isn't anywhere near back to normal.
