Time to spell out how many U.S. states now drastically intrude on women's liberty to control their own bodies. These states have outright bans on #abortion: TN, TX, W. Va, WI, ND, SD, ID, KY, Okla., Ark. LA, Miss., MO, Alabama. These states ban abortion after 6 weeks: GA. After 12 weeks: Utah, Ariz., FL, NE, NC. #women #patriarchy
@heidilifeldman SC should be added (even if it still needs signature)
@heidilifeldman 11 states on this list are in the top 15 poorest states in the country. So if they ban abortion, they will drain the youth and intellectual capacity. In turn, these states are getting even poorer. How sad!

@normalguy @heidilifeldman

Yep! Not to mention the backlash from people boycotting those states! LOTS of people are refusing to vacation in ANY of those states! Money is the only language these asshats speak!

@heidilifeldman this assault on women’s autonomy is frightening and distressing & absolutely wrong.
@rabbijill @heidilifeldman Any ban after 6 weeks may as well be a complete ban. These states should be called the "Forced Birth Slave" states. Why these men want to legalize the killing of women and girls is pure evil, and that's their game.
@Awknddragn @rabbijill @heidilifeldman You're absolutely right.
@opalmirror @Awknddragn @heidilifeldman it’s physically and emotionally sickening. A 6 week ban is forced birth. We are in Handmaids Tale territory. Barbaric
@rabbijill @opalmirror @heidilifeldman They aren't passing any of these bans for anyone's benefit, to solve a problem, or make life better (typical GOP) - all of these bans being passed are done with malicious intent. It seems the purpose of all that comes from the GOP is to end or control life - of others. There is no good that can come from the subjugation of others, we must find a way to end this barbaric cult. Yes, barbaric is the right word.

@Awknddragn @rabbijill @heidilifeldman I can’t agree with the “evil” part (per my interpretation of good/evil and morality) but I can certainly agree that the people who pass these laws are insidious and absurdly out of touch with what their party actually stands for and what the people of the country support.

It’s far beyond time that we have a serious conversation with serious people about this serious topic. It’s not about abortion; it’s about control.

@heidilifeldman @ianRobinson NB is New Brunswick; the postal abbreviation for Nebraska is ‘NE’; just thought I’d point that out.
@heidilifeldman I believe FL is 6 weeks now or it will be on July 1. Vote Blue
@SteveBologna A but complicated bc the 6 week ban can only go into effect if the 15 week ban currently in effect is upheld as constitutional under the Florida state constitution. That case is being hear shortly by Florida Supreme Court. More info at https://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/article274851726.html
@heidilifeldman TWW: This world exists within a mortal realm and the moment holds no life more dear than another. There may come at any time the need to sacrifice your life or take that of some other. *Recently I talked about the movement to restrict abortion with my daughter. I told her I was sad that so many women had violated the tenets of their faith to support it she reminded me that she was one of them. She knows me, I told her the loss stays in your heart always. OWOP
@heidilifeldman did well the Republican party to ban abortion and be pro-life

@heidilifeldman

Thankfully, we can still order abortion pills in all 50 states through Aid Access (www.aidaccess.org) and Plan C Pills (www.plancpills.org)!

@heidilifeldman And all these states should be on everyone's no-go lists. Neither you nor your dollars should go near these places, everyone!
@heidilifeldman Alabama: outright ban and they're currently trying to get it charged as murder.
@heidilifeldman How many of them thought Slavery was a great idea?
