As a vegetarian for over 30 years I have heard this so many times, I just say to folks look at me I ain't wasting away, I eat whatever I want, healthily, it just doesn't involve killing animals

@DoubleTreble Yes. I always say that at home I’m not a vegan. I’m just a bloke with all sorts of food in his fridge and cupboards.

@jonnynexus @DoubleTreble In 2023, anyone arguing the case for eating animals is clearly a twat who likes eating animals. They might try to use words like “taste” and “flavour” or even put on a lab coat and use the word “protein” in a stern voice, but ultimately they just enjoy eating dead animals and helping the world burn in order to get their selfish fix. Note: this is about as preachy as I’ve been in years, but only because it seemed safe to do so.

Right now in the 2023 it's super easy to be and doesn't make sense be #vegetarian 🙏🏼

P.S. Also because the animals, the world, us and everything are impacted a lot from the #vegetarianism 😢

Sometimes I think the trouble with #veganism is the way we are forced to discuss it, specifically the use of the subjunctive tense (“You should… because it would… and then we could…”).

Those are all easy outs for the victims of our evangelism. Just serve it up. It IS, and tough tits if you don’t get it.
