Tusky

The first beta of #Tusky v22 is out, including:

- View trending hashtags
- Edit image descriptions and focus point
- "Refresh" menu for accessibility
- Support Mastodon v4 filters
- Show detailed differences when a post is edited
- Option to show post statistics in the timeline

Fixes including:

- Show player controls during audio playback
- Correct post length calculation
- Always publish image captions

Issues in beta 1 that will be fixed in beta 2

- Beta 1 loads a lot of notifications, which can be twice as slow. We're tuning that back down
- A potential crash when loading notifications
- Filter warnings will show the filter name, not the phrase

There's also an issue with Pixelfed notifications. However, this is not something the Tusky team can fix.

@Tusky If it helps solving the notification crash issue, I've figured out that my notifications & local timeline crash Tusky beta 1 every morning. Once I log in on a browser and view my notifications and local timeline, Tusky stops crashing.

@Tusky Thanks for the great update 😍Normally I use Fedilab but with this update I give Tusky a new chance. I really missed the statistics.
Are there integrated (optionally) push notifications planned? This would be a big step forward.

There is only one small thing that I wish Tusky could do: reorder images after adding them to a post (before the post is published). Or is that a Mastodon limitation?

@Tusky Oh, wow, you guys got around redesigning the filters! 💙 This was the only thing I kept jumping to the web interface for. The better timeline handling is also much appreciated. Lookin' good, too!
