I just found my first #DataViz with #Textiles, from a decade ago. My one and only attempt at something quilt-ish, with each color (and the number of pieces in each zone) capturing something about my husband's time in his PhD program. I also found my old notes on what everything means, and various sketches and design attempts. I think it'll be going up as an example, a la @miriamkp "How did they make that?", on the Textile Makerspace website.
Behold @platypus this is the best I've managed in the quilting space. πŸ˜‚
@quinnanya @miriamkp I love the sun at the horizon line in the landscape and the fabric choices with letterforms. It’s all language and transitions.
@quinnanya @miriamkp Hmmm...so now I think whatever #quilt project I have going during dissertation writing will have to be some sort of #DataViz! Words written? Database records created?
@BiblioWingate @miriamkp All of it! I'll share the write up when I finish it tonight. There's so much you can pack in.
@quinnanya oh I love that! Can't wait to read the post
