@okfn is TimeMapper down? All projects (including your sample ones) are getting error messages.

Hi! Do I know anyone here that #teaches Intro to #Archives #classes?

If so, would you be willing to chat about the books (if any) you assign? I need to rethink my books

New folks, we will have an orientation Sep 12 - details to come!

Question for #digitalhumanities folks:

Do you have any favorite DH projects about the internet/internet culture? I'm looking for some examples for my class, they want to do a project looking at some internets cultures and how we talk about digital spaces.

Now that it’s August (😱) I’m sharing a few things I’ve done in the past year to help manage work stress:

-Turned off work email on my phone
-Disabled all work-related DM notifications on my phone (Slack is still enabled for prof service + engagement which I generally find enriching)
-Disabled inbox message preview (Gmail) so I only see the subject line
-Slowed down my response time to most emails. No email is an emergency!
-Avoided checking email nights+weekends when possible

I'm working on a reference zine on how to build a website and since my library has turtles in it, I'm having the turtles narrate the zine.

This means I am having the fake website in the zine be about turtles, and I am now building a fake website about turtles in NY state so I can take screenshots of it to include in parts of it.

Why am I making things harder for myself...

Well my throat hurts, my brain isn't working, and I am exhausted. At this point it is only a matter of time before I start testing positive.

This meeting could have been a zine
