Posting this amazing art ("pink in the night") by Eunnie, who has seemingly not yet joined the fediverse, so that you're not missing out

I have added full alt text, which was sadly missing from the posts elsewhere.

@SleepyCatten there is nothing in this universe more beautiful than a sapphic kiss and nobody can change my mind 🥹
@SleepyCatten Aaah not fair; I've already cried once this morning! 😭💜
@SleepyCatten it makes me cry every time, even years later
@SleepyCatten I love this every time I see it again 💜
@SleepyCatten Thats really beautiful 💜💜💜
@SleepyCatten My Twitter rule was I had to RT this comic strip anytime I saw it and I'm carrying that rule to Mastodon, too.
@JenWithGravy I like this rule and intend to steal it.
@SleepyCatten
@Sym_Trkl @SleepyCatten I had few rules on Twitter, but this one was iron clad and had to be followed.
@SleepyCatten
a detail from the second frame that might be worth adding: the AMAB person is looking at a poster of an F+M+child family unit, which is probably why the other (at least to me) looks like they are pulling them along with an expression of "ignore that; they don't know what they are saying".
@FiXato Fantastic suggestion! I've tweaked the alt text for that image. Please may I kindly ask for your thoughts on whether I have amended it accurately?
@SleepyCatten you said it better than me 👍
@FiXato I wouldn't have noticed that or thought to add it though without your post, so thank you so much 🥰
@SleepyCatten @FiXato
I missed this as well.
A beautiful example how #AltText adds value for everyone
🙏🏻💜😁

@FiXato @SleepyCatten

In a world where images are seen differently depending on who is looking. I didn't think of the purple haired person as masc, I saw them both as fem - and the poster being negative.
Rereading with your comment in mind, I see the transition now :-)

@SleepyCatten OH this one makes me cry like a baby every time.
@SleepyCatten Ow, my feels! This is beautiful; it made me tear up.
@SleepyCatten please, thank you for the alt text, but the terms AMAB and AFAB mean what gender was assigned to someone at birth, it's not about clothing and hair styles. Yes, the short haired child is clearly supposed to be read as a boy and growing up revealed as a trans feminine person, but we haven't seen their birth certificate, they could very well be AiAB or even AFAB.

@cuffedCatling I tried to think of another sensitive way to describe it. Could you please suggest a way that would be acceptable to all while still conveying the relevant meaning?

For example:
* presumed AFAB / AMAB?
* presumed girl / boy?

I'm a trans fem myself & I'd prefer that others didn't refer to me as having been a young boy, so I was wary of doing so here 🥺

@SleepyCatten oh yeah I feel that, I don't think there is a way to convey the interpretation without hurting anyone.. I personally would have just described the child as having short hair and wearing blue and muted colors while the other child has long hair in pigtails and wears bright colors, but if you wanted to convey the interpretation then "presumed" would be a good way of distancing yourself from objectivity, yes
@cuffedCatling Thank you! I'll make some tweaks in a moment

@cuffedCatling I've tweaked the alt text on image one. What do you think? 🥺

I've tried to make it descriptive, but also carefully-worded so as not to set off any likely/common trans misgendering trauma triggers

@SleepyCatten yes good idea, "implied" works for me too! thank you
@cuffedCatling Thank you too for providing me feedback on this! I struggled with the wording earlier today when I posted this, so your post really helped & has (I think) made it a bit more inclusive & descriptive
@SleepyCatten I'm glad to hear, I struggle with these kind of things a lot too, and it often helps me to have others bring in their thoughts about it as well!
@SleepyCatten oh my god this is so cute 🥺
@SleepyCatten cute and loveable relationship... wish shadow could have that here but yeah.... that is probably not happening soon
@SleepyCatten @quietbrooke I swear I’ll never tire of this one

@SleepyCatten

I like this comic, but it always makes me so sad; I have literally never had a relationship in 36 years, and the "this is normal" stings me in that I have never lived a normal experience.

@atatassault *offers so many hugs* 🥺🫂

I hadn't ever been able to get a girlfriend or hook up with anyone until I tried online dating, aged 27. I didn't meet my now wife until I was nearly 29 & that was due to so many random factors coinciding.

I've watched so many people fall in love & start relationships just from regular social interactions on social media & Discord.

Don't ever lose hope 🥺💟

@SleepyCatten “I’m not crying, you’re crying.” *sobs uncontrollably*

@SleepyCatten these girls are super super cute
my heart melts

I hope my girl and I get this kind of happy ending

@SleepyCatten This is so incredibly cute. I have tears in my eyes now. 😅
@SleepyCatten this thing makes me happy cry every time i see it

@SleepyCatten we have boosted it before and will boost it again

this comic keeps making us cry and it is amazing

@SleepyCatten this still remains one of my absolute favorite comics.🥹

@SleepyCatten I'd seen this little story posted around for a few years now, but somehow never caught on that one of the women was trans. It's subtle enough I guess.

Thanks for adding the alt text. Just looking at the pictures goes by quick, but reading it all spelled out just made me cry happy tears
