I worked at the University of Wisconsin Madison where a professor received per diem for 90% of the year because she claimed to live in California, when she actually rented an apartment in Geneva, Switzerland and spent most of her time there. This is your tax dollars at work, because all of that money was coming from a very large grant from the DOE.
