what is official? I'm not affiliated! What's official is what you also covered, that they actually started to use the mastodon account after stopping on twitter.

I guess from 8.8M followers, the yellow checkmark and Musks branding as "Government-funded Media"? Maybe that's not what you're asking or I don't get it.

Why wasn't I thinking about that in the first place?

2) This one is not by NPR, its a mirror bot, but I dont know what they are mirroring from: https://press.coop/@NPR

3) this one doesnt seem to be NPR either, its an aggregate for BBC, CNN, NPR: https://news.ongii.com/@npr

4) now given the other 3, I am doubting that this one is by NPR as well: https://mstdn.social/@NPR

so, very likely NPR is not on Mastodon.

going from there, I'm going to delete my tweet on twitter, because it's unlikely, that NPR is indeed on Mastodon.

Obviously I trapped myself with some Bias towards the logo and a wishful thinking towards NPR going to Mastodon.

I learned something important today, especially via the different accounts on different instances.

and that blue checkmarks on twitter established a huge trust circle, which is now disrupted from various sides.

Yes, we have to unlearn the #BlueCheckmark..

I have deviated from that on Twitter, but I certainly have been far away from certain types of abusive behaviors that are not part of those established trust circles.

A good lesson. At the moment I'm adding users on Mastodon from links that they post on twitter. I should be vary of Users I'm not adding from there.

I'm missing the old times already.
