Elon Musk is now fighting with Paul Graham about Substack. Substack's biggest investor is A16z who also invested $400m in Elon's Twitter so that's going to be AMAZING, I want everyone involved to lose and that's what's going to happen.
Big day for people who invested in Face-Eating Leopards, Inc.
@seldo A subsidiary of FAFO Holdings Ltd
@seldo they could just eat each other out of relevance, that would be best for everyone
@seldo incredible energy going on here with a nice subtle after taste of "nobody involved will learn their lesson"

@hazelweakly @seldo tragedy, farce, &c, &c.

Rich knuckleheads, the contemptible lot of 'em.

@seldo Shuddering as I picture Paul hitting the password recovery link on his Mastodon account...

@seldo

For no particular reason the lyrics to Artic Monkeys "Red Light Indicates Doors Are Secured" flashed through my head:

Well calm down, temper, temper
You shouldn't get so annoyed
Well, you're acting like a silly little boy
And they wanted to be men
And do some fighting in the street
They said "no surrender
No chance of retreat"

@seldo if I was a bazillionaire I’m fairly sure I’d have other things I’d want to do on a weekend, like flying my fully functional shuttlecraft replica around my tropical island, while my personal chef shoved perfectly prepared megalodon sashimi into my mouth.
@seldo what’s he fighting about now
@seldo not even at gunpoint will I ever root for Paul Graham, so I'll just say I hope they both lose badly.
@seldo This is from the A16z who are we page…
@seldo They didn’t invest in Twitter to make it work. They want the Democrats to fail and #Twitter was a good place for Democrats to organize & strategize No one who backed musk actually wants Twitter to succeed.
@Pineywoozle I don't buy a grand evil plan when the explanation of them all being really dumb works just as well.
@seldo If you cant see that the Republicans and anyone who benefits from republican leadership in America have been doing everything they can to damage Democrats for decades you might want to do a go fund me for a seeing eye dog. It’s not some grand evil plan. It’s the ONLY plan. They can’t win by writing decent legislation, because their policies don’t align with the majority of America. Cheating & damaging. Dems are the only tricks they have to gain power. #USPol
@seldo Also, if this weren’t their goal, don’t you think you’d hear a little bit more about them complaining instead of the current crop of crickets?
@seldo @Pineywoozle
Hanlon: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
@Johny28 @seldo Research : Never speculate when the facts are staring you in the face. Nothing that Elon has done has increased revenue. His well advertised Dogecoin gambit to sell bitcoin to the idiots so they would buy blue checkmarks fell flat on it’s face when bitcoin tanked, & when almost no one would buy the blue checks. From that point on every single decision has damaged Democrats ability to use Twitter effectively without massive interference from the farR.
@Pineywoozle @seldo
This may certainly be a case of malice. Musk's actions look like stupidity, but maybe that's what he's counting on.
@Johny28 @seldo I kind of think that Elon started out as a useful idiot. He had great plans to make money. None of them worked. Plan B for Elon is due with the people who invested wanted, which is trash Twitter. His views are aligned with theirs, but I think the moving force is the investors. Elon is just a classic mark, he’s stupid, ego, driven and easily manipulated just like Trump.
@seldo From your mouth to God's ears.
@seldo It's a strange kinda wonderful when horrendous people become bitter enemies.
@seldo

This sounds very much like 4-D chess to me.
@seldo amen to that, all bad eggs on a basket. Nuke em.
A reminder of the glory days of the Hamiltons vs Mohamed Al-Fayed in the "Cash for Questions" case. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohamed_Al-Fayed#Cash-for-questions RT I want everyone involved to lose - @seldo

@seldo Has anyone actually taken Elon aside and explained to him that capitalism isn't a zero-sum game?

As a rich capitalist, I kind of assumed he'd know that, but ...

@seldo How can we get Thiel involved in losing as well?
