Mark H#TravelPhotography from #OnThisDay in 2017 on our first visit to #Belgium, and this is gorgeous #Ghent (or #Gent) and one of its #canals lined with colourful, old buildings. We really liked #Ghent and if you've been to fairly nearby Bruges then it's similar in many ways but different enough to still be worth the trip. St Bavo's Cathedral and Castle Gravensteen were particularly good. And yes, we had a drink in that pub you can see here. That's the law.

@sparklingspirit We haven't made it to Brussels yet but will do one day. There's a lot of architecture and street art there that we'd like to see.
