Well, this was admittedly fun to write. There is big, breaking news about a shake-up in the legal team representing Trump’s CFO, Allen Weisselberg. What could that mean? I game it out in today’s piece. https://statuskuo.substack.com/p/has-cfo-allen-weisselberg-finally?sd=pf
Has CFO Allen Weisselberg Finally Flipped on Trump?

Allen Weisselberg has hired new lawyers. For many laypeople, that might not sound like big news. But to legal observers, it’s a possible bombshell. Throughout his and the Trump Organization’s criminal trial for tax fraud, at least two things held true: Weisselberg repeatedly refused to turn on his former boss, and his former boss, via the Trump Organization, was paying his lawyers’ fees. @jaykuo 2B: Trump didn’t pay the lawyers, so they quit.

"2B: Trump didn’t pay the lawyers, so they quit."

Possible, but he'd be cutting his own throat if he did that, and they'd tell him so.

A good read, thoughtful and hopeful. I think your take on it is the correct one. Facing more charges, realising the TO lawyers are working to protect Tr*mp and not him, and tasting Rykers, Weisselberg has flipped. The Cassidy Hutchinson similarity is too powerful to ignore.

Lock him up!

@jaykuo I think I heard an “oh my”
@jaykuo
This seems likely the reason Little Donnie was not indited already
@jaykuo
Hope springs eternal...but I am getting tired of the refrain. I am anxious for America to put the trump era, his syncophants and wannabes in the rear view mirror and get back to normal. Out with the crazies, morally corrupt and power hungry mob. Let us work to find resolutions to problems.

@jaykuo I think I’ll wait to see what actually happens. Too many “journalists” already gaming too many things out.
@jaykuo Teri Kanefield writes:
"There is now reporting that the Trump Org is also paying Alan Weisselberg's new lawyer, so false alarm about Weisselberg flipping."
Is this true?
