How would Adam and Eve have known that the tree of knowledge was the tree of knowledge unless they had eaten from the tree of knowledge? In other words, they had to fuck up before they knew they’d fucked up. That’s kind of fucked up, right?
Can anyone explain why the “Local” tab on Mastodon shows me stories from everywhere except where I am?

Is it the GOP or is it Christianity in general? Consider this: Jesus didn’t make his appearance until The New Testament, which means that The Old Testament focused on worshipping an ideology whereas The New Testament is focused on worshipping a person.

Worship of an ideology is called a religion whereas worship of a person is called a cult. In the absence of the cult leader (Jesus) Christians will worship any sufficiently charismatic person (Trump).

Fast Company reviews 6 Twitter replacements, and author @harrymccracken calls Mastodon the "heir apparent".

He says the Mastodon crowd is "friendly and engaged".

And he observes that Mastodon has higher interaction even with lower follower counts.

@fediversenews

I'm still somewhat new to Mastodon and I want to introduce myself.

I've actually worked in the Elections business (I managed the voting system)

I wrote my first pandemic response plan in 2009 (we assumed it would be bird flu)

I have also worked in Information Security (things are scary out there)

I'm currently in the healthcare sector as a project manager

I'm finishing my Master's degree to become a sex therapist.

So...Hi! :)
