Getting a lot of questions so to clean up confusion—here’s how to respond when someone wishes you “Ramadan Mubarak”:
•Ramadan Mubarak to you too!
•Ramadan Kareem!
•Khair Mubarak!
•Happy Ramadan!
•I will buy you tacos after Ramadan ends!

So if you were unsure how to reply, you’re welcome.😉 May you all have a blessed and happy month full of peace and service to all humanity. Amen. ❤️

@QasimRashid May or may not be appropriate, but my Irish training is to respond "And also with you."
@faduda @QasimRashid That’s my go to response when someone says May the Force be with you!
@QasimRashid I’m confused, can’t you eat tacos after sundown?
@QasimRashid The tacos part is perfect. ❤️❤️❤️
@QasimRashid feeling a strong need to instigate the ramzaan vs ramadan debate here, like a South Asian invasive species.
@QasimRashid I am definitely prepared to provide post-Ramadan tacos
@QasimRashid
Can I make the tacos instead? I'm not slouch in the kitchen and can easily even do halal if need be

@QasimRashid I didn't grow up in or near a Muslim community. So my knowledge was fairly nil.

Once I met some great Muslim friends online & got to know them over a period of years- I asked questions if I wasn't sure. I read up to understand the religion. I have great respect for my friends, so if people respect & care for others, speak openly to each other, & don't be afraid to ask questions. I also got a few great recipes from one of my friends that he eats after the sun sets during Ramadan.

@QasimRashid PS: I changed up the recipe just a bit & told him... his response-

That's my mom's recipe, you never change it Lisa.

Good laugh from both of us, tho he was serious.

@QasimRashid so an embarrassed "uh, you, too?" isn't an option?
@QasimRashid A blessed Ramadan to you - and enjoy those tacos! 😁
@QasimRashid Thank you and I will use the taco option!! 🌮
@QasimRashid Apropos tacos: Is it okay to gift delicious food for them to consume after sundown?
@QasimRashid Ramadan Mubarak. 😀 May this blessed month bring you more peace & joy to you & all your loved ones! 🌙

@QasimRashid Thank you for this.

Also I'm happy to know that it wasn't just people being polite, and that 'Happy Ramadan' is in fact, perfectly acceptable.

@QasimRashid why did my brain go “hang on iftar tacos sounds perfect”
@QasimRashid what do you mean? They can buy me tacos after sunset
