@ilmai so for example, if you're in an abusive situation or domestic violence situation, you might have a secret phone you're hiding from your abuser to help you escape. As the emergency alerts can make sound even if the phone is on silent, someone in that situation would want to take the extra steps to ensure their phone doesn't go off and make the situation more dangerous if their abuser finds the phone
