The UK Gov has responded to my Section 30 petition after it reached 10,000 signatures. The response came from The Scotland Office.
The response is a copy/paste of the UK Government's stance on independence & does not actually respond to the petition.
The Petitions Committee has, of its own accord, agreed: "the response did not directly address the request of petition... (we) have therefore written back to the Government to ask them to provide a revised response".
This is a slap-down to the UK Government and the Scotland Office for a pathetic, if unsurprising response.
After a disappointing initial response from the independence movement, the petition recently reached its 10,000 threshold.
To maintain the pressure on the UK Government over independence, we have two months to left to get the petition to reach 100,000 to force debate in the House of Commons.
Will you now sign it if you have not already?

Petition: Grant a Section 30 Order to enable a Scottish Independence Referendum

The UK Government should grant without delay a Section 30 Order under the Scotland Act to enable an independence referendum to take place in Scotland, to allow the Scottish people, who elected a Scottish Parliament with a clear majority on holding such, to express their democratic will.
