@bevy I habe a question regarding „Only submissions with art and sound assets made entirely during the jam will be eligible to win. This applies to AI-generated (except when trained exclusively on work you've created during the jam), …“

It’s not allowed to use a common AI to generate assets even it is generated during the Jam, right? The part about „made entirely during the jam“ confuses me.

@neosam Yeah you can't use a "common AI" such as Midjourney to generate images for your jam game, as Midjourney is trained on work from other artists that was made prior to the jam. You can use AI techniques to generate art, provided you personally created the art in the AI training set during the jam.
@bevy now I got it. Thank you!

Ironically had to ask GPT to summarise the AI rules and ELI5, and got this:

Oh, I see! Let me explain the AI art rules in a simple way for you:

1. You can only use art and sounds made during the event to win.

2. You can't use AI-generated art unless you train the AI on things you made during the event.

3. You can use tools like AI generators, brushes, and samples to make new things, but not just copy and paste them. You have to create something original with them!
