๐Ÿงต 2023 Good Things ๐Ÿงต

I have lamented about how 2022 was a less than stellar year for me and how I have been feeling a bit meh so far in 2023. So I decided that I am going start a Thread to chronicle the good things this year.

The pessimistic side of me thinks it is a silly exercise in futility (and maybe it is), but I still want to see how it goes. Here's to new things in a new year!

#2023 #GoodThings #NewYear #MentalHealth

Recently finished #Mistborn #TheFinalEmpire by #BrandonSanderson and started #TheWellOfAscension, continuing my #reread of the series. I have made progress on #Solasta in our 4-person co-op game and recently started playing a 2-person co-op game of #SunHaven. I absolutely love Sun Haven! It is very similar to #StardewValley in terms of mechanics while also including fantasy/magical elements. I was also gifted #TabletopSimulator and am excited to explore playing games using it. #books #gaming

@Melisondra Ooooooooooh I'll have to check out Sun Haven!

I love tabletop simulator so much!! It's a bit tricky to get used to but the learning curve is so worth it!

@sylphrin You should absolutely check it out and I bet it would be fun to play on stream.
@sylphrin Follow up! What are some absolute must haves for Tabletop Simulator?
@Melisondra there aren't any! It is LITERALLY a simulation of a tabletop. I'd recommend starting with games you already know and enjoy to get used to the controls and how everything works, it can be quite hard to learn a brand new game on TTS at first. And then just branch out from there! Heaps of good stuff for free on the steam workshop!
@sylphrin That was what I meant, are there any workshop must haves?
@Melisondra there are no "must haves" because that just depends on what tabletop games you like to play ๐Ÿ˜‰ that's the same as asking what's a "must have" tabletop game. There's no "must have" for everyone, it depends on what genres you enjoy. It's an entire medium.
