Got to the Great City in #SunHaven and got lost.
My need to go faster is slowing me down as I stop at every stall to see if they sell speedy food.

I really like Sunhaven, and the sprites are quite cute, but damn is the splash art/busts not the same vibes… I don't want to rizz any of them up. Expect updates.

Ugh, it's simply heartbreaking to hear how the non-main team of Pixel Sprout Studios has allegedly been treated. Several former ancillary staff have been talking about what went down at that studio; is it truly hard to treat one's staff as people and not disposable assets that can be replaced at any time?
I'm linking the video just in case I mention some facts incorrectly because my upset level is fairly high at the moment.
If you already own this game, though, do feel free to keep playing it...Don't feel guilty about owning a title you already paid for, since this knowledge isn't widespread yet. Personally, I won't be spending any more money and purchasing DLC given that I know what has allegedly happened up until this point.
Just be aware, it's hard to be an ethical consumer these days due to bad egg studios and producers of stuff!
Honestly, the fact Sun Haven writers gave the player a means to peacefully resolve the conflict between Sun Haven and Withergate is great! Appealing to the vanity of a dragon is far more interesting than duking it out with the bugger, I tend to prefer negotiations to battle if the choice is there (even if it's the harder option to pursue).
So...I snuck a peek at what it would be like to fight the final boss of Sun Haven. I'm going to appease this dastardly dragon via altar offerings, because the HP on this whole ass scaly jerk is WAY TOO high.
At this point, I've not eaten enough food to give me the passive stat gains needed for a toe to toe battle with this clever and strong dragon. It might take more than an in-game year to appease Dynus, but anything is better than getting stomped out by a mega-boss. ROFL, the devs really thought people needed a reason to play longer than an in-game year.
It's cute, and I love being able to play as an Angel with a hot pink halo and wings. Plus, I could spend countless hours farming materials for more furniture for all my homes in-game. The gameplay loop feels satisfying without it being a total grinder 5000!
Sun Haven has been my recent gaming hyperfixation...I'm probably going to complete the main story now that I've gotten married to Nathaniel (meant to go for Lucius, but I was tapping the accept button too fast in a Nathaniel conversation).
After that, I may hop into the game off and on to finish the museum collection. I think it's time to put a pin in Sun Haven and move onto the next game.
I made my first Greenhouse for Spring in Sun Haven; now I can grow all the lettuce and other Spring crops for alchemy purposes! I like the concept of these greenhouses because it's basically a portal to a small area which is currently experiencing a magical Spring.
The Sun Haven devs at least had a consistent vision and executed it reasonably well (barring the minor technical glitches and dupe exploits that I discovered but avoided using. Still not fixed, despite being reported by other gamers).
A productive session of Sun Haven before bed made me quite happy! I'm close to upgrading the Sun Haven Farm Home to the Tier 2 version and will be building a Crafting Workshop (a tiny seeming building that has a roomy indoor space) for all my machines!
This weekend will lead me to truly beginning to woo Lucius because I got lost in mining and clear-cutting the farm for future expansions.
