They're not just fighting to deny the fundamental human rights of those people you don't like.

They're fighting against the very concept that anyone has fundamental human rights.

⚠️ This will one day bite you on the backside, too.

Be wary of any government trying to deny anyone their rights. It's just another way for them to put more power into their own hands.

If you think that politicians increasing their own power won't eventually impact your freedom as well, then you're a fool.

@andrewstroehlein you only have to look at the UK under Brexit to see an example of this.
Our rights were taken away, both the main parties dont ever want to talk about that.
This week we're locking up refugees and helping modern slavery....
@andrewstroehlein
The only rights they want to know about are property rights, and privacy rights.
Both epitomised in the form of one #jacobreesmogg

@andrewstroehlein
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

@andrewstroehlein You can't forget that every power exercised by any government is an act of aggression against you, even when it appears to be helping you. They literally exist to have a monopoly on force, even when they're not using it in some noticably sinister way. In other words, governments are always potentially dangerous, sort of like a loaded gun.

@andrewstroehlein “the bully will come for you, too” is exactly why people feel great being on the bully’s team. They aren’t unaware that they met some day get attacked, they get to feel superior to everyone being attacked before them.

We need to show these people how horrid they are as humans for delighting in the abuse of others and not back down from that stance. They are not good people and should get reminded of that on a regular basis.

@andrewstroehlein
Yup. If it can be done to anyone, it can be done to *anyone*.
@andrewstroehlein Something something there was no one left to speak for me.
@andrewstroehlein Theyre not wrong that there’s no such thing as a “right,” fundamental or not. There are only licenses that other people decide to grant, any of which can be taken away.
