@cmconseils This is so creative and inventive. Chapeau to the makers!
@cmconseils
That is a thing of beauty, wonder and amazement.
@cmconseils Beautiful! There was an Edward Gorey tunnel book that's out of print and spendy from the early '80s #Bookstodon #EdwardGorey

@cmconseils

I have one of these!
they're super beautiful

@cmconseils well now we know special effects have been around for a long time and I marvel at the evaluation of the 3D special effects.
@cmconseils @mia And this is why following the Digital Curator at the British Library pays dividends even if you’re not a librarian. They have their finger on the pulse of emerging and long ago emergent technologies. 👍👍
@amart @cmconseils I like to think I'm here for all your 'there's nothing new under the sun' needs

@cmconseils Amazing! That is amazing! I had an idea for a project similar to this at uni but it developed onto a different direction. Now I kinda wanna do this with CSS(?) parallax ^__^
@cmconseils This is so cool! Thanks for showing me something I’d never seen before!
@cmconseils Absolutely lovely! I'm so glad some of these survived.
@cmconseils so delicate it’s a wonder it’s survived
@cmconseils when i was a much younger person they used to make these sugar Easter eggs with a peephole & a scene relating to Easter inside

@cmconseils Seriously, nothing beats a tunnel book for wonder.

Tho I’d like to imagine two Victorians arguing about which stimulates more wonder: tunnel book or stereoscope.

“Ah, but the tunnel book is fluid, the very space changes before your eyes, collapsing and expanding in response to our own movements.”

“Yes, but as a representation of reality, the stereoscope is superior, fore it captures our very world as it is! What is more wondrous than that?”

@cmconseils

Still better than the MetaVerse....

@cmconseils that's ancient view master tech
