Birds Books and Bullshit

Well I just learned bees pick up a positive charge while flying. Flowers have adapted to this by cultivating a negative charge, helping their pollen stick to the bees. Bees further adapted by sensing and avoiding neutral flowers, since a different bee probably just landed there.

I'm telling you guys: this book I'm reading is great, just very difficult to succinctly quote.

@NanoBookReview You probably know this but I'm a pedant,

The flowers' adaptation isn't a deliberate action. They don't choose to be more negative but those lucky ones that are, will probably spread more genes as their pollen will stick better. Adaptation by bees isn't planned or the result of learning either. Humans may have some control over our ability to adapt and to choose who gets to breed, plants and simpler animals, not so much. #Evolution
