@elana thanks! I was a 10-year twitter user. Mostly focused on complaining about the Fords, but also a lot of Toronto and Ontario stuff

Marc "ACAB" Godin@normsworld @TO_Resident I dunno if this is rhetorical, but last year Elon Musk bought twitter and ever since has fired most of the moderating staff while also at the same time unbanned thousands of right-wing and abusive accounts. That's created a perfect environment for right-wingers to organize mass-reporting actions on left-wing account holders. The ban/suspension system is mostly automated, and in the past there were human beings who would review appeals, but there are far less human beings left to review all the many, many appeals.
The website https://twitterisgoinggreat.com/ has been aggregating twitter-related news since Elon took over last fall.

It started with several posts in that thread being banned, and then my entire account
zero details from twitter or elsewhere - my account is just suspended, and that's that.

Years ago, I think when DoFo was running for Mayor, I helped out with an anti-Ford account called @fordyearsago that simply drew attention to notable things the bros had done on that day in history. We got so much grief that we started to suspect the Twitter team had a pro-Ford mole on staff.
There is nothing new about Twitter’s pro-conservative bias.
