Eye of Partridge was one of the first texture stitch patterns, that I learned and it always reminds me of my grandmother, who's 114th birthday would be today - she died 19 years ago.

This stitch pattern was one of her go-to patterns for sock heels. And when she taught me sock knitting, I learned that pattern.
