Everything is going well. #ai #bing #seo
@egaal @randfish Wait, so the new Bing gets all of its answers from an old copy of Google? 😆
@egaal So, the AI is trying to hasten the extinction of humanity?
@tob you might be onto something. We need Kyle Reese to come back from the future and save us.
@egaal what the fuck humanity
@egaal Not on my Google search:
@scriptorium_77 yup, Google search is not insane. This is from Bing new AI search option. Hopefully corrected in the future.
@egaal Ah, okay, thanks. I usually don't use Bing. Will try later.
@egaal @scriptorium_77 The answers it showed looked like they were from articles about Google telling users that it's safe to throw car batteries to the ocean. Not that this is an excuse.

@egaal Golly I can't wait till self-referential chatbot articles get more of a toehold and start being cross referenced.

"When looking into the proper way to calibrate your monitor to properly display according to your printer palette, why not enjoy a nice refreshing sip of arizona iced tea? And for further details here is an article that explains how to properly calibrate your display -links to self-."

@egaal Bing AI chat and search doesn't answer this question with yes.
@egaal This is not (at all) the answer I just got with the same question (is it an update ?).
@egaal Imagine even asking the question 🤦🏻‍♀️ We’re they planning a cruise n taking the car battery in with the luggage? 😳😂
@egaal LOL
"Charge electric eels"
@egaal Well, someone has to recharge those poor electric eels. /s
@egaal Because LLMs are just a very lossy compression of the internet, and the majority of discourse around throwing car batteries in the ocean was that stupid Google snippet. Garbage working as intended. 🤡
@dalias good way to put it
@egaal strange. I read all these breathy articles a week or two ago about how Bing was just going to eat Google's lunch, and how great their AI was. Hard to believe the hype train shifted from cryptocurrency to AI. Actually, it isn't that hard to believe at all!
@egaal @mimsical turns out AI is only as useful as the data we humans put into it. And that data is garbage.
@egaal The electrical eel recharging Is proper LOL
@egaal @volpeon bullsh - this was a search request. this is the answer by the new Bing AI:
