Dear #Obsidian community, I'd like to figure out how many of us (in a percentage) use sync. I'm a plugin & app dev and I'm asking because I need some numbers to make some decisions regarding a plugin and an app I'm developing. So:

❓ Do you use any form of sync in Obsidian? ❓

Any answers (and boosts, please! 🔄) would be much appreciated — the more, the merrier! Thank you in advance for helping me out here.

@actionsdotwork not sure what your plug-in ideas is, but I’ve used the git plugin to try and sync, but would love something that allows me to share a common vault with a team.

@Danwwilson I make a plugin named Actions URI and am at the point where I ponder how to deal with the overall sync situation on iOS and how to avoid data loss due to brittle sync solutions.

Okay, #Obsidian iOS real talk, I'm in a bit of a pickle. When using iCloud Sync, Obs can't tell whether it is syncing, done syncing or subject to syncing at all because iOS is opaque in that regard. When using Obsidian Sync, there's a private API giving me a sync status (synced, syncing, error). Problem: ObsSync isn't prioritized over any plugins so, in theory, that status may be outdated when a plugin checks it. 1/x #ActionsForObsidian #ObsidianMD
