@Popehat
My college roommate had a book of stories by the now-problematic (and also now-no-not-problematic-what's-the-other-word-oh-yeah-shitty) Orson Scott Card in which they had (somehow) identified a baby with superhuman musical talent and raised him in isolation from all music but what he wrote himself. Then a guy broke into the compound and played Mozart at him, and he panicked and tried to cover it up, but they could tell because there was no more Mozart in his music.
Anyway, good luck.
Something something Sherman marched to the sea...
I was going to assign students to watch it to do some textual analysis, but decided at the last minute that I'd rather let them watch Top Gear
You don't need the commentary. Just watch it. It's better than Top Gear
@Popehat π€·π»ββοΈ It was a good speech and I like to stay informed.
TFG was a different story (no information)
@Popehat There was a speech last night?
I listened to rpg podcasts (Delta Green games) and worked on a weaving project.
At its best the SOTU was generally just performative.
But now everything has to be a clown show for feeding the "conservative" soundbite market, so they're just going to be a mess from here on out.
Even less point in tuning in for them now then there was back when the peanut gallery could still mostly behave like adults.
