@joshuatopolsky Oh, what are you guys doing over there? Here in Linux world recent HP printers are just plug and play, and if not then HPLIP’s assistant is fairly easy to use
@joshuatopolsky oh that’s easy, it’s trying to actually uninstall the crapware they want you to install. Close behind it is actually using rhe crapware you sometimes have to use to use the functionality if it’s a scanner or something.
@joshuatopolsky trying to print on a 4-year-old HP printer that (for some reason) can’t be hard reset, doesn’t see the color ink cartridge, and sometimes just fails to print. And DEFINITELY doesn’t scan.
@joshuatopolsky After talking with HP ‘tech” support I fixed installing my HP printer by throwing it off the balcony to the cement floor. Felt so good. I worked better after that
@joshuatopolsky Setting up any printer used to be universally awful. These days I’ve gotten spoiled with AirPrint just working. The failure of those automatic systems can leave me despondent? #FirstWorldProblems
