#Lagerstroemia (also crepe myrtle, or crepeflower) is native to the Indian Subcontinent and also to Southeast Asia, China, Korea and Japan.

I believe my ID app has identified this correctly. I couldn’t get close to this one as it was set back in the front garden of its home in #Gardenvale #Australia.

But from afar it caught my eye and it certainly has the splendour fitting to share with the good folk of #mastodon!

@NessaUndreza We have 3 or 4 of these trees in our yard. Almost every house in our neighborhood has at least one. They are super simple to care for and are very lovely.

@drcdiva wow that’s lovely to hear D’Arcy. I’m starting to see them bloom everywhere! Saw one spectacular in Carnegie today. Couldn’t stop but will make it back in the next few days. 👏👏👍🌸
