I have a question for #accordion enthusiasts… Back around 2004 or so I was gifted a three disc accordion compliation. I made copies if the discs, but never wrote down the names of the songs or the artists. I am wondering if anyone remembers this compilation. The cover was yellow. I would like to buy it again, but can’t find it online. #accordionsofmastodon

The yellow 50 Ans one is 6 discs of all French musette cabaret-style #accordion

Perhaps yours might have been the Planet #Squeezebox set with its much wilder selection?

It is sadly out of print and I don’t know how hard it is to find now

Amazing set of music though. And absolutely one of the key inspirations years later for our radio show. Many, many of those artists have been featured

I found this recording in the online archives of a Swiss #Accordion museum where seemingly nobody had noticed it for years

I put both sides on YouTube in an act of #copyright liberation

I assume #AliceHall herself didn’t have a copy, or maybe even remember it, or she would have suggested it to Michal Shapiro when she was producing the Planet 🌍 🪗 #Squeezebox collection 😔
