First time I’ve ever seen a card for transitioning #trans #transgender 🏳️‍⚧️

@faintingincoils

I so love that, maybe there is some hope for us yet.

@faintingincoils

That's wild. Capitalism says we exist now. We're here to be exploited. Kind of awesome and grim, at the same time.

@oldladyplays I have signed your petition. I see you are from my hometown :)
@oldladyplays @faintingincoils They still haven't discovered us transspecies people yet. I bet that'll take a long time.
@frostwolf @oldladyplays @faintingincoils I wonder when after that they'll discover the niche of {people who are transgender AND transspecies, like me}
@oldladyplays @faintingincoils Congratulations! It felt so good when it happened to us gays ❤️
@oldladyplays @faintingincoils all part of the rainbow economy but, I agree, it’s a lovely thing.
@oldladyplays @faintingincoils have you see the trans ad for whiskey? https://youtu.be/0uDvgZYqNdk

I mean, you could just send someone an encouraging note/letter on copy paper, but I think it’s kinda nice to have that recognition, even if you have to buy the card. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

@oldladyplays @faintingincoils TBH using commerce to help normalise transgender existence might be a good thing ..
@faintingincoils oh my gosh this is so lovely and heartwarming!
@faintingincoils It's wonderful, but I'm dreading the British press discovering these…
@faintingincoils years ago i wanted to give a card to a friend for her official name change party and these didnt exist yet so i got her an easter one that said “you’re a good egg”. Luckily she thought that was funny

@faintingincoils I like the butterfly. Nice idea and look how kind it is with soft pastels and an accepting, even accommodating message.

What a difference this make with those standouts I. The GOP, huh? The difference is grating! Ima vote for that card’s author for POTUS - has to be a democrat! Has to be!

@faintingincoils on one hand, what an amazing thing it would be to open the mail and see this card from your grandma or great aunt Mary.

On the other hand, someone’s making money by capitalizing on transition. Ew.

@amaditalks @faintingincoils Card makers are very open to making money from every possible human life event.
@beecycling @faintingincoils yeah, I actually did get a couple of “I’m so sorry about your divorce“ cards. Sweet but weird.
@faintingincoils there are some lovely cards for this on Etsy as well. If anyone is interested just reply and I'll dig through my likes 😊
@faintingincoils Was this at Target? I’ve been impressed a few times with their pride merch in months that are not June 🤣😭
@RavynWitch No, it was at a store in a suburb of Vancouver, Canada.
@faintingincoils Works great for a killer, too.
@faintingincoils Is it an indie shop or like, hallmark?
@Canageek I didn’t check but I think it was from a company like Hallmark. It was with all the other mass-produced “occasion” cards.
@Canageek It was in a large pharmacy chain store, not a small shop.

@faintingincoils the other day I was just thinking to myself that someone should make transgender greeting cards!

my idea of a message was more like "congrats on the pussy" tho

@faintingincoils where did you find that?
@Jasonact At London Drugs (a pharmacy chain in British Columbia, Canada)
@faintingincoils so beautiful. 😍🏳️‍⚧️
@faintingincoils @tbruck I have been looking for something like this, I can think of people who I genuinely wanted to send something like that to
@faintingincoils @leah
thanks for sharing this. this is really good to see and warms my heart
