4 weeks, 30+ hours of trouble shooting, 1 new 3D printer & countless errors later the sets of horse teeth are almost ready for class.
Students will draw, measure, and determine how they have changed in the Cenozoic.
Thanks @phaneritic for making this happen!

@Xeno_lith PS I actually have 3 fossil horse teeth in my collection. They look just like yours here!
@cobalt
That’s so cool! Where did you get them?
@Xeno_lith ordered them via eBay about 12 years ago in the last years I used eBay to acquire specimens. The owner got them from his deceased uncle who him “Iowa somewhere”. So I took that as unreliable. When I moved to Arizona from Iowa I learned I could do better purchasing in person at the annual Tucson and Quartzite shows.
@cobalt Ooh someday I hope to go to quartzite!
@Xeno_lith Quartzite is good for a trip during the January venues, about every 5 years. It’s great for people wanting bulk ore or crafty jewelry and kitch. Not so great if you are a serious collector or geologist. It is fun there, though. Quite a huge carnival layout, with train collector show, a powwow and variety venues.
@cobalt I imagine it would be a fun carnival type place and that Z would have fun seeing so many things! We will have to keep our wallets at home though - we don’t have room for anything else anyway! 😝
@Xeno_lith one good thing is that Quartzite is very cheap for trinkets and food. Don’t expect to find a hotel room for 100 miles radius in January.
@cobalt That’s a good tip! We will be sure to plan way way ahead when we finally go!
