@tim I remember the 30 minute tape that came with our first #vcr and was a whopping 30 minutes of recording time. I recorded…..wait for it….an episode of the Muppet Show and was over the moon that I could watch it over and over again. :)

@tim They're amazing. In the same vein, I remember when I was young I used to flick through old magazines at my grandparents and they'd have these really cool ads for cameras. The aesthetic always stuck with me.

@conor @tim got one of these with 50mm lens as a handmedown from my step sister in the mid eighties. Kept it and used it for years and years until it finally died. Still have the lens and use it w/ a booster on a gh4 and gh5s m43 cameras.

@tim nothing made me happier as a youngster as a row of neatly-labeled VHS tapes with whatever I could record from Kansas City TV…and they all needed to be the SAME BRAND

I was the only one who knew how to program the VCR, so I got my way
