ottobahn - the next level of mobility.

YouTube

It has all the checkmarks for #TechBro #bullshit in it:

- individual #Pods

- old ideas rebranded as "disruptive" [it's literally an overhead monorail that's used in #mining for a driverless cart]

- no intercompatibility with any existing tech & rolling stock.

- not scalable at all

- forcing people to use a shitty app.

- totally designed to be neither accessibble nor useful outside of bodily abled neurotypicals

- grifting public funds and infrastructure and defunding public transport.

@kkarhan I'd suggest using medium size (like 20 people, including wheelchair/bike/buggy space) autonomous buses.

@LunaDragofelis Barrier-Free Minimuses are a good option to provide public transport in medium-to-low density areas like suburbia without a lot of infrastructure or huge masses of commuters...

That being said even overhead monorails can be useful when done properly like the #SkyTrain in Düsseldorf or Chiba's SAFEGE system...

It's definitely cheaper than underground metro stations and removes congestion from roads.

Why Does Germany Build Suspended Monorails (When Almost Nobody Else Does)?

@LunaDragofelis That being said EVERYTHING is better than a #car in terms of space efficiency, even a GDR-made two-stroke motorcycle is more envoirmentally friendly than any Tesla ever could be even if the car was constantly driven at 100% capacity for people and freight.
