There is no authentic reason why you can't afford pasture-raised meat. Feedlot meat is so hideously trashy that it ends up being a #FalseEconomy.

Quality #PastureRaised #Meat may cost slightly more by the pound, but a smaller quantity really goes farther in the kitchen.

#Feedlots, on the other hand, are not just cruel, but the conditions at them are gross. The product it puts on the shelf is garbage.

Going #Vegan, #Vegetarian or #Pescetarian is also an option.

@Sigma I’m wondering how to identify or find pasture-raised meats in America. Are there stores that don’t sell feedlot product? Genuinely looking for ideas.

@adriennelacava They are labeled in various ways, but the most common are "grass-fed," "free-range," and "pasture-raised." I would suggest researching the companies that are selling them, though. Reputation counts.

Usually, wagyu beef is excellent, and it's reasonably humane. Back when I still ate beef, I remember it made the best steak oscar ever.

It ends up costing less because you need less to feel satisfied, and it's a lot more satisfying on every level.

@Sigma Good info. Thank you!
@adriennelacava Good luck in your kitchen adventures!
