Now, I'm not too good in what's considered AA titles so I Googled and found: #LifeIsStrange
I loved that game!

Life Is Strange (abbreviated LIS) is a series of primarily episodic graphic adventure games published by Square Enix's European subsidiary. Created by Dontnod Entertainment, the series debuted with the eponymous first installment, which released in five episodes throughout 2015.

@PlaystationPixy
Absolutely awesome game this is. I actually just finished playing the prequel "LIS: Before the Storm" last night.
They always have great storytelling and soundtracks.
@paulomalley
Yes I quite agree, both games had very good stories! You got invested with the characters as well, which sometimes meant a tear if something went wrong... 😔
I really enjoyed both LIS games and made it to 100% absolutely a good time!

@PlaystationPixy

One could argue AA is dead these days. Indies have grown to fill that space. THQ was King of the AA space in the late 90s till around 2008. Went bankrupt, trademark bought by Nordic in 2014, they go by THQ Nordic now. THQ put out some good stuff, Darksiders, Red Faction, Destroy All Humans, Saints Row, De Blob, WWE Smackdown vs Raw series. Also a truckload of Nickelodeon games.

Ow yes there are definitely some good games among them.
I did find the term still being used, so there may be a distinction between indie and AA. 😊
Thanks for the explanation! I'm learning things every day. 😊

@PlaystationPixy

The distinction would be large studios putting out mid tier games = AA, small studios putting out the same quality = indies. I can't immediately think of many big name studios putting out mid tier stuff any more. They farm that out to smaller studios/buy smaller studios to do it. If the big name is on a mid tier game these days it's in the background instead of right up front, most of the time. Usually listed as publisher or distributer.

@blackknight95857669
No, indeed, most big studios go for the triple A titles these days.
I found Life is Strange to be under the AA titles so I shared that one today. Maybe there will be less new AA titles, but it's still good to look back on all these, sometimes hidden, gems of AA games that are already out there.

@PlaystationPixy

Oh for sure. Some of my most fondly remembered experiences are with AA games. I'd say Greedfall is AA, I quite enjoyed it. Recently bought PGA Tour 2k23. Now that 2K has bought HB Studios I'd consider that series AA and I definitely enjoy it, always been a sucker for a decent golf sim. There's still a few AA experiences getting released each year so it's not completely dead, lol, just close.

👍🏻 If you want to share some of your favorite AA games, just use the hashtag #ShareYourGames and #AAday and I'll boost ya 😉 only if you want to of course.
I always enjoy toots about all sorts of games. 😊
@PlaystationPixy I'll try to remember lol. Most of mine go under *gaming*, and/or/with the platform I'm playing on. As they tend to be mini reviews I try to restrain them to a single post so I have to be judicious with my verbiage. Kinda wish hashtags didn't add to the character count.

@blackknight95857669
Yeah it's indeed a shame that hashtags take character space. I'll try to boost you when I see your posts on my other account.

I'll tag my boost account so I can easily find this/you 😉 @ShareYourGames

@PlaystationPixy looking forward to when i play through these again.

Still need to play True Colors as well

@DiamondRyce
I've only played LiS and LiS:BtS.
Haven't played True Colors yet not heard good things about it . But my budget for games is very small and there's a few games I want more... So I'll hopefully get around to True Colors some day 😇. Was hoping it might be added to PS+ premium some day... That would be even better (for me and my wallet).

@PlaystationPixy i think it was added to ps+ premium at least in the US.

Ouch I've been avoiding reviews about the game so that doesn't sound as good.

@DiamondRyce
I just checked and here they ask €59,99 in the PSN store. While physical is about €35... So unfortunately not on PS+ premium here 😔
