Jordan Borth@atpfm big HomePod guy šāāļø I ordered a couple 2nd generations. We have used stereo paired 1st generations with Apple TV + theatre audio and eARC and they have always worked out well for us. Very happy they have āresumedā the line.

Glen Jarvis@atpfm side note on Kenji strapping his camera to his head on YouTube. Iām at a point now where watching his videos on my 55 inch TV makes me motion sick. I can handle them on my phone, but something about the head-mounted camera on the big screen makes me feel like Iām on a boat on rough seas.

DavidSchaubI want to suggest that almost nobody should BTO upgrade the M2 Pro Mac Mini to a >$2000 price.
Most people should just buy the refurbished M1 Max Mac Studios for $1800, or just select a new M1 Max Mac Studio for $2000, and BTO that.
It is awesome that the M2 Pro Mac Mini exists, and that base SKU is definitely worth buying, but not for BTO upgrades.
@atpfm @marcoarment in the discussion about the air jet, I think I know where it went wrong between you and john. I believe the way it works is that the airjet itself can remove 5-10W of heat, but that is before the air goes out of the chip and before it goes through a radiator.
Phil Kim@atpfm @marcoarment should explain why white is the best color for HomePods. I have a pair of white and they look a bit dirty after few years of use.

Doug Hynek@atpfm Hoping that the great hosts of ATP have fully vented their grievances with Twitter and Elon Musk. One trait of a narcissist is their enjoyment in knowing that people are talking about them, good or bad. Perhaps itās time to move on and stop giving Musk what he wants.

Sloan Studio@atpfm Watched some video about Solid State cooling y'all were talking about, they claim only 21 dBA vs typical fan 42 dBA which I think means 4 times quieter even though about 100 (or 20?) times less noise (weird logarithmic scale and perception stuff).

@atpfm This presumably happened after the recording but twitter silently (of course) updated tehir API rules to say that an app cannot compete with the services offered by twitter, which goes to prove that the twitterdev response was in fact a blatant lie.

shac ron āŖā@atpfm Someone (John?) said a Mac mini plus studio display is a deconstructed iMac but more expensive / worse. I would argue itās better because you can upgrade the computer without throwing away the screen. In the long term itās a money saver, and has more and better port options.
The Studio Display should have a mounting brackets for the mini in back.
