Taken Sunday at 2,600 feet (792.5m) on the #FoothillsParkway near Walland, #Tennessee. The parkway is part of the Great Smoky #Mountains #NationalPark system yet it exists entirely outside the park’s boundaries. During the weekend there had been a #WinterStormWarning for elevations above 2,500 feet where 4-12+ inches (10-30+cm) of #snow fell. This picture was taken looking south into the western section of the National Park. The highest elevations in the park rise above 6,600 feet (2,011m).
