Well, submitting at the very last minute to a new lit mag without a clear picture of what they are looking for did not go my way, but the rejection was quick, kind, and professional. I'm eager to read their first issue when it drops.

Still glad I sent them something since I want to write and submit more regularly. This round pushed me to refine/finish several poems.

(Is a poem ever reeeally finished? I've been thinking about that a lot lately. Maybe a future post.)

@dhwrtr The important thing is you did it. I have only submitted something twice and that was years ago. I am back practicing my writing now after a long time of not writing. I will need to screw up my courage when I am ready to submit. But I am determined to try, because you only live once and time feels like it’s drawing short.

@sue_campbell Thank you!

Good luck with your writing — and with sending it out into the world. That can be scary, I know, but I do believe it gets easier.
